Lily
In the streets of London, on a cold evening, near the shore, away from the noises of city.
A girl named Lily and her mother named Sofia were walking down the road.
As they were looking at the stars, they pondered at questions of existence.
Lily : What is life, mother?
Sofia : That which you are living.
Lily : And what am I living? (Gentle Smile)
Sofia : O, my darling. Aren't you made of cells and bones. O, you are living that.
Lily : So life is cells and bones living for other cells and bones.
Sofia : Life is simple, my child. Humans and their languages have made it complex.
Lily : O, I see. But why are cells and bones living anyway?
Sofia : What could have been otherwise, my child? Cells and bones are afraid to die, so they are living for themselves. To reduce their own sufferings. And to dance with life.
Lily : They can die otherwise. Everyone can disappear. Why they choose to live?
Sofia : Cells and bones are bound to live for a cause, my child. Though cells rejoice as they thinketh they are the cause. They thinketh proudly on freedom they see. They thinketh they suffer for a good cause. As they believeth on mysterious causes, they fear their time ending by.
Lily : I'm doing everything I could've done, mother. Why would I need more time anyway?
Sofia : You're a sleeping beauty, my child.
Lily : Oh, I'm a beauty. But I'm not sleeping.
Sofia : You're awake. But you're dreaming.
Lily : Yeah. I'm dreaming of an ice-cream.
Sofia gently holds her hand and took her to the ice-cream shop.
