Drunk
Once upon a time, a drunk man walked alone, in the middle of a night.
He then found a sadhu, an old man resting beneath the tree.
Drunk man : I drink, and I am happy. Then I suffer, and I am sad. Why, old man?
Old man : Pleasures you seek, perception you believeth, unafraid of the effect. Thou suffers, thou cries, yet thou escapes again for a drink. Neither saying nor thou changes the cause. For ceasing suffering implies ceasing the cause. Cause as you drinketh. Cause as you feeleth pleasure. Effects nought goes till the cause ceases. Nought consolidate thyself, as thy asked me. Thousand tomorrows be same, as thou drinketh again. Nought magic exists, nought a one night miracle. Change implies today, then thou believeth a new day.
Drunk man : Dear old man, nought he may touch a drink again, as he begin a new end, from the causes he do today, may have long term effect again, for he may do good again.
